My Autograph Collection

Thank you for visiting my page in cyber space.  This is a chance for me to showcase my collection, which includes Star Wars actor/actress autographs, Metallica vintage and modern autographs, Rock-N-Roll autograph collection, Star Trek autographs and one of my favorite areas of collecting, Carlton Fisk.  I've always wanted to do this and I finally got up the nerve to give it a shot.   Anything listed on this site, is part of my personal collection and is not for sale.  I do not sell autographs, I just collect them, sorry!

Like millions of other people across the country, I grew up with the Star Wars movies.  In the early 1990's I finally decided I really wanted to focus my collecting in the Star Wars genre. In 1992, Harrison Ford was a visitor to Chicago to film the movie "The Fugitive".  Since I had been actively getting autographs from celebrities and music stars I knew where most celebrities stayed while in Chicago.  My first experience was nerving to say the least with Ford, and I ended up getting one picture signed and talking to him for several moments.  From that moment on I was hooked on Star Wars autographs and since that time I have assembled one of the larger and more diverse SW collections around.

I also enjoy collecting autographs from my favorite band Metallica.  I've been lucky enough to see them perform 19 times since 1991 and I've also met the band members numerous times, too many to recall.  After getting fed up at collecting the modern signatures of the band I shifted my focus to pre-1987 autographs from the band, specifically the era when the original basist Cliff Burton was alive.  As you will see, I have one of the most diverse and unique Metallica autograph collections in existence.

I hope you enjoy viewing the signatures that I have featured here.  Countless hours of waiting outside hotels, standing in lines at shows and mailing requests away have been put into making this collection a reality.  I'm going to try and update the site as much as possible and I hope you come back frequently.

Updated Content!!!

Last time I updated my website I was commenting that 2008 was just over with.  So it's been awhile since I've had time to sit down and add some new content.  I actually have had the chance to get some good autographs in the three months into this year.  I did some in person chasing including the Visual Effects Bake Off in January, a Broadway play and the cast of SNL in New York and a fun two days in San Francisco paying Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher to sign autographs.  I'm not really being serious about the fun part of paying for autographs, unfortunately it's part of the game.  In the case of Mark, it's about the only way possible you are going to get his autograph.  Okay, so I indulged myself slightly with 21 pieces signed at $100 a pop!  Probably not worth it, but there is nothing I can do about it.

So let's see what's in store for the rest of the year???  I have no idea.  I'll take it as it comes and I've made some cool trades and managed to pick up some neat signed in the first few months of this year and I'm sure I'll be getting many more.

I'm also getting around to adding new sections and don't forget I have a bunch of my favorite music and actor autographs that I have added so check out those pages.

Thanks for coming back so often and keep returning.

What's New??

Okay, it's been some time since I've actually updated the content.  So what's new?  Cool stuff like Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Metallica.

I've also updated my Star Wars poster section adding some new and clearer images and I picked up probably two of the coolest pieces I have in my collection.  A signed poster from the Natural autographed by Robert Redford who also added his character name "Roy Hobbs".  And a fully signed cast poster from The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.  Enjoy viewing these.  They are real gems.
