Cliff Burton had just 24 years on this planet to showcase himself. Only four of those years were spent with Metallica. In those four short years Burton helped form the core of the music world's greatest band. By now everyone knows the story of Cliff and his tragic death on September 27, 1986. Unfortunately, I never met Cliff. I would have loved to meet the man and get his autograph in person. I have been fortunate enough to be able to obtain some great pieces signed by this genius. His autograph is rare. He had only a few years to sign his name and during his prime with the band (1986) his signing was cut short by his death.
