Star Wars: A New Hope
This is the movie that started it all.  In 1977 throngs of sci-fi junkies, geeks, dweebs and the curious lined up outside of movie theatres across the country to see the latest and greatest invention of George Lucas.  For people like me, this is where it started, the sickness that is Star Wars.  I was hooked.  Yeah, I was only seven years old at the time, but I was on the hook and not letting go.  At the moment I first saw the movie my life wold forever be changed.  I could argue both the positive and negative as to the effect that his particular movie has had on my life.  I would like to think of it as a positive experience.  If you ask my wife, she's definitely in the negative camp!  some of the sagas most memorable moments are captured on screen in Lucas first SW movie... the introduction of the major characters included my favorite Hank solo and the demise of the great Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi.  Enjoy the images capturing some of my favorite scenes from a true masterpiece.

Star Wars; The Empire Strikes Back
I must admit, this is my favorite movie.  George Lucas, who is a great idea guy is not the best writer on the planet or director for that matter.  Lucas to his credit, brings in Irwin Kershner to direct and Lawrence Kasdan for the screenplay.  Just like that we have the best movie in the series.  Not only do we have plenty of action, we have a love story!  Everyone's favorite smugler Han Solo is frozen alive, Luke and Vader exchange plesantries and Han's old buddy takes over the captains chair of the Milenium Falcon.  New worlds, new creatures and new special effects.  This movie certainly has it all and it's going to be a classic for eternity.

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi
I remember the day this movie came out and with my brother and Aunt Kay we went to see the movie in suburban Chicago.  Did it live up to the hype of the Empire Strikes Back.  NO!  But man, was it good.  Finally we had some closure.  Han lives, Jabba dies (along with Bib and Boba and many others), Yoda reveals another Jedi, the Empire goes down, Vader takes his mask off oh and by the way chucks the Emperor to his death and the EWOKS!   I almost forget them, I probably should have.  It was a great movie, with loads of action and fun and for most of us wanting more.  It didn't happen until 1998.  Enjoy some of my favorite images from the last true Star Wars movie.
